Terms & Conditions
Cider House Terms and Conditions
By booking and staying with us, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions and these form a contract between us.
Reservations
Upon making a booking, we require credit card details and 50% of the total booking as a deposit to secure your reservation. This deposit is non refundable, unless we can re-let the complete booking. Should you fail to arrive and take up your reservation without letting us know a charge will be made against your card for the full amount of your booking.
If the person making the reservation is different to the person taking up the occupation, the person who makes the reservation may be held responsible for non arrival/damage or loss and monies may be taken from their credit/debit card.
If you or any member of your party has any special access requirements or dietary needs, please let us know. A copy of our ‘access statement’ is available upon request, or can be viewed on our web site www.cider-house.co.uk/access-statement.html.
Sorry, but due to its age and layout Cider House is not suitable for wheelchair users. We are unable to accept pets.
Cancellations and Curtailment
Please let us know as soon as possible should it become necessary for you to cancel or curtail your reservation. If we cannot re-let the room, you will be liable for 50% of the total charge if you cancel or curtail within 28 days of the visit; 100% if you cancel or curtail within 28 days or less prior to the date of stay. If you curtail your stay once you have arrived, the total charge will be made. We recommend taking out an appropriate cancellation insurance scheme to cover you in such circumstances.
Arrival
Normal arrival time is from 3pm to 5pm. If you are delayed in arriving or expect to arrive after this time, please let us know.
Please note that one car parking space per room booked is provided. If you have more than one vehicle, there is additional parking in the main National Trust car park. Cars are parked entirely at the owners’ risk. Any contents left in your car are also entirely at your own risk.
During your stay
Our aim is to offer our guests a relaxing and tranquil stay and kindly ask all guests to respect other guests’ quiet enjoyment and relaxation.
We carry out our housekeeping between 11am and 2pm each day and will require access to your room during these three hours. If you are not planning on being out during these hours, please let us know.
Guests are not permitted to have visitors to their rooms.
Accidents happen – please let us know immediately of any damage or spillage so that we can attempt a speedy repair or clean. Any significant breakage or damage may result in a charge for replacement or repair.
We appreciate muddy shoes/boots and wet clothing being left in the entrance hall where we provide appropriate storage for drying purposes.
Any item taken from the rooms without our consent will be charged for. Lost keys will incur a £50 charge.
Smoking is not allowed at Cider House.
Departure
On the day of departure, we kindly request that you vacate your room by 10.30am to allow us time to prepare the room for our next guests.
The balance amount of your booking is payable on departure by credit/debit card, cash or cheque. Invoices are available on request.
Thank you for your co-operation. We hope you have a relaxing and enjoyable stay with us.
